Welcome to Weirton Elementary where everyone is a STAR and is learning to Shine.

Weirton Elementary serves the children of Weirton who are residents of Hancock County.  There are currently 940 students attending pre-school through fourth grade. Weirton Elementary is committed to providing the foundation for an interactive community of 21st century learners in a safe nurturing environment, where every child has the potential to succeed.  

Weirton Elementary is a new school which opened its doors for the 2014-2015 school year.  The school is state of the art featuring multiple computer labs, 15 portable laptop and Ipad labs.  Children have access to two gymnasiums, two playgrounds, and both a dedicated art and music room.

Partners in Education include: Change Inc., First Choice America FCU, Foxes Pizza, Huntington Bank, and Med Express.

New Manchester Elementary School serves approximately 340 students in grades PreK-4th.  The school's mission statement "It Takes a Team to Educate a Child," expresses the belief that educating students is a team effort.  The staff of New Manchester Elementary is committed to working cooperatively with students, parents, and community to ensure all students achieve success.  

With the assistance of New Manchester's PTA and Business Partner in Education, Newbrough Photo, students will be provided opportunities to develop responsibility and to become self-directed, life long learners.  By incorporating a variety of instructional strategies to enhance WV Standards, the staff of New Manchester strives for students to become productive members of a global society. 

In providing these opportunities, the belief of "Good Kids Doing Great Work" is exemplified as staff, students and parents work cooperatively to teach students what they need to KNOW, how they need to BEHAVE, and what they need to ACCOMPLISH.

The core belief at Allen T. Allison Elementary School is to provide a safe, disciplined environment in order to provide a climate that enhances self-esteem.  Emphasis is placed on parent involvement by staff cooperating and communicating with home, school, and within the community. 

The curriculum is dedicated to differentiated instruction and the expectation of high expectations.
